Anybody here ever go on chaperoned dates?
by unbeliever ini use to get the biggest chuckle when the elders insisted that when going out on a date that someone older and mature had to go with you to make sure you don't fornicate.
how imposing!!
i have a friend (did the fade) that was stuck with her brother being the chaperone a couple of times when she was dating her then boyfriend.

Should Christians Expect Divine Protection?
by Kenneson inthis is one of the current topics at http://www.watchtower.org .
we are told that sometimes jehovah intervenes for his people and sometimes he doesn't.
i'm wondering if this is a shift in thinking or whether jws have always believed this.

Just remember when bad things happen it was'nt jehovah's fault and when good things happen thank you jehovah. repeat that three times.

Do You Know Your Blood Type?
by RAYZORBLADE inwith all the information we have nowadays, out of sheer curiousity, do any of you know your blood type?
for some, i know the blood-issue is a touchy subject, but it's interesting to know it.
you'd be surprised especially when the case of an rh-negative mother may give birth to an rh-positive child.

Curious Mind
Im a AB+. Use to be a blood donor however after finding out that AB+ blood can only be used for people with AB+ (we are 5% of the population) I decided to donate plama instead, it is used in far more procedures that my full blood could be. It takes longer to donate (45min - 1 hr) but I can donate more frequently (weekly, fortnightly or monthly) whereas full blood donations can only be given every 3 months. I especially like the fact that it helps people with cancer and burns.
I still find it incredulous that JW's can accept fractions but wont donate, if you want to recieve you should be prepared to give.

Momentous Times Ahead! (Next Week)
by reporter inhans blix report is due out monday, and the "state of the dis-union address" will be given out on tuesday.
larc mentioned previously about abolition of the irs, and simon mentioned about fairness in taxation, not just in the u.s., but worldwide.
the key to all of this is nesara, which passed in 2000 in a secret session of congress, and signed into law by bill clinton 10 days before he left office, but has yet to be announced yet!

Where were the U.S. Fighter Jets at when the Hi-Jacked Jet was flying towards the Pentagon?
What a load of crap there is no way the airforce could have caught those aircraft in the time allowed, because while the F16's are faster than passenger jets the cruise speed is not that dissimilar and faster means they burn fuel at a prodigious rate and would have ran out of fuel before they could have caught them. Even with air to air refueling it would not have made much difference because a fighter has to slow down to the speed of the tanker to refuel. Also aricraft do not fly around armed on routine training sorties because it is too dangerous, weapons are only carried when they are required, they are explosives. Just ask yourself, "do you think that a USAF Officer would willingly let thousnads of people die if it was within his power to prevent it?"
